Walk through Souq Waqif, Doha’s historic marketplace, taking in the traditional alleyways, shops, restaurants and heritage architecture that make it one of the city’s most recognisable corners.

Visit Katara Cultural Village, where architecture, public space and Qatar’s arts scene share the same streets — time enough to explore the main areas and take photographs.

Drive through selected areas of The Pearl-Qatar, a modern waterfront development known for its marinas, residential districts and lifestyle destinations, with stops for photographs where appropriate.

Close the city portion at Lusail Marina, with views of the striking Katara Towers — a strong, modern contrast to the morning’s traditional and cultural stops.

Board a traditional dhow for a ride along Doha’s waterfront, taking in the skyline, coastline and surrounding waters from the sea rather than the promenade.

Dhows have carried Qatar’s fishing, pearling and trading communities for generations, so the ride doubles as a quiet piece of maritime heritage alongside the view.

After the city, the scenery shifts entirely as the drive continues south into open desert and rolling dunes.

Continue into the desert for a traditional camel ride at a desert base camp — a relaxed, photo-friendly link to an activity tied closely to the heritage of the Arabian Peninsula.

Experience a 4×4 dune bashing drive across Qatar’s rolling dunes, with an experienced desert driver navigating the shifting terrain.

Stop at selected dunes to try sandboarding, sliding down the slopes for a different, more physical way to experience the desert.

Finish at Khor Al Adaid, the Inland Sea, where golden dunes meet the waters of the Arabian Gulf in one of Qatar’s most distinctive landscapes. Spend time taking in the view before the return journey begins.
